Weldtool stainless steel 420 is a martensitic stainless steel alloy providing an as-welded hardness of 50-55 HRC. Weld deposits feature high tensile strength and excellent corrosion resistance. Ideally suited for heavy build-ups in moderate wear conditions, producing dense, crack, and porosity-free deposits. Used for welding 410, 410NiMo, and 420 castings/wrought metals. Excellent for the repair of die casting dies, forging dies, arbors, and shafts. Polishes to a high luster.
