Micro Wire Tool Steel Type M-2 (50pcs)

Weldtool tool steel type M-2 is an A.I.S.I. M-2 molybdenum high-speed steel alloy with an as-welded hardness of 62 HRC and higher. Designed for extreme wear resistance and moderate impact. Tempering at 1025°F results in a secondary hardness of 62+ HRC. Ideal for welding high-speed tool steel grades including broaches, reamers, knives, drills, and taps. Often used on A.I.S.I. D-2 where a complete heat treat cycle is required.
