Weldtool ER308L is specifically designed for welding types 304L, 321, and 347 stainless steels. This alloy is identical to ER308 but with carbon content held to a maximum of .03%. This lower carbon content significantly reduces the possibility of intergranular carbide precipitation, thereby increasing resistance to intergranular corrosion without the need for stabilizers like niobium or titanium. Ideal for high-purity and corrosion-critical applications.
